Patterson IP Law Celebrates 25 years

Patterson IP Law celebrated its 25^th Anniversary in March. The firm was the first in the region to focus exclusively on intellectual property law, and has grown to serve clients nationwide and around the world.

“While growing from a startup law firm in 1992 to a leading US intellectual property firm today, we have been blessed with the opportunity of working with great clients and great partners. We look forward to the next 25 years with the same anticipation,” said Ed Lanquist, managing shareholder.

The firm has expanded from a team of three registered patent attorneys in 1992 to sixteen attorneys today, including thirteen registered patent attorneys, three of whom hold a Ph.D. in their area of practice.

“I am gratified to know that, thanks to our clients and our colleagues who refer us business, the firm we started in 1992 is now the largest IP boutique law firm in Tennessee and remains the only patent and IP boutique in Middle Tennessee providing patent services in electrical, mechanical, and life science,” said founding shareholder Mark Patterson.
