The firm is seeking to hire associates with 1-5 years’ experience in Intellectual Property law with specific experience in chemical, pharmaceutical, or other life science industries. Candidates must be admitted to practice before the USPTO. The position is in Nashville, TN. e firm is proactive in flexible arrangements for office time and working from home.

Experience in opinion work, freedom to operate analysis, due diligence and patent application preparation and prosecution is required. Experience in performing and conducting patentability and freedom to operate searches, rendering opinions regarding validity, infringement, enforceability, and FTO related to third party patent estates is preferred.

The ideal candidate will have a master’s degree in chemistry or an adjacent discipline and must be admitted to practice before the USPTO.

The ability to communicate complex matters concisely and effectively in oral and written form is required. Advanced writing, comprehensive reading, communication and research skills are also required. Legal research experience related to chemical and life sciences litigation is helpful. A strong work ethic and excellent leadership skills will add to your success on our team.
