Patterson IP Law Welcomes Garrett Hausman to the Firm

The Firm is pleased to announce that Registered Patent Attorney Garrett Hausman has joined the Firm as an associate.  His practice will focus on the protection of inventions in the mechanical engineering field.

“Garrett’s training in Intellectual Property at Washington University, and his experience as a patent examiner have prepared him well for serving our clients in fields such as construction equipment, heat transfer equipment, power generation, tire manufacturing and other mechanical areas” said Wayne Beavers, shareholder and head of the Firm’s mechanical patent practice.

Hausman was previously a patent examiner in the United States Patent and Trademark Office in Alexandria, VA, where his work focused on the areas of internal combustion engines and heavy construction equipment.

Hausman is a 2014 graduate of Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, Missouri, where he took extensive coursework in Intellectual Property.  He was a member of the Intellectual Property Society, the Christian Law Society and the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis.  He is a 2011 graduate of Missouri University of Science and Technology, with a B.S. magna cum laude in Mechanical Engineering.

Hausman is a Registered Patent Attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office and is licensed to practice in Missouri. He is a member of the Patent and Trademark Office Society, the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the American Bar Association and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.

Originally from Bethalto, IL, Hausman lives in The Gulch area.
