Attorneys Successfully Represent The Permanent General Insurance

Attorneys Ryan Levy, Gary Montle and John Triggs successfully represented The Permanent General Insurance Company in connection with patent litigation in the Northern District of California. The Litigation team achieved a dismissal on a Motion to Dismiss (highly unusual in a patent litigation) under Section 101. The motion resulted in the dismissal of all of the claims in the matter of Internet Patents Corporation v. The General Automobile Insurance Services, Inc. Three companion cases that were about to be consolidated along with this case were also subsequently dismissed based on the decision obtained in the Permanent General case. The subject matter of the suit is a particularly hot topic in patent litigation at the present time. It will be appealed to the Federal Circuit by the plaintiff.
